Shearing forms an integral part of the production process and it is therefore important for the wool industry to apply universal standards across all shearing activities within the South African Wool Industry.
To ensure adherence with good shearing practices and that minimum standards for accommodating shearers are in place, a signed vendor declaration is required before shearing teams commence their activities.
In order to qualify for the Sustainable Cape Wool Standard, this declaration is compulsory and can be completed online, or whilst the on farm assessment is conducted.
